The DGAP – Germany’s Foreign Policy Network
As an independent, nonpartisan, and nonprofit membership organization the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) has been promoting public debate on foreign policy in Germany since 1955.
Renowned experts and high-ranking decision-makers from politics and business, the sciences and the press, constitute part of the over 2,500 members of the DGAP .
A Platform for Dialogue
With more than 250 conferences, panel discussions, and lecture series a year the DGAP is the central platform for the debate on foreign and security politics in Germany.
The DGAP undertakes policy-oriented research focusing on Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, the EU, China, the Middle East, and North Africa, as well as the USA. The DGAP’s research institute views itself as a modern think tank, as a consultant and a driver of foreign policy.
The DGAP publishes Germany’s leading foreign policy magazine, IP – INTERNATIONALE POLITIK. The IP appears in Germany as a bimonthly print magazine and is available both through an annual subscription as well as via specialized retailers. (www.internationalepolitik.de)
