As an independent, nonpartisan, and nonprofit membership organization the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) has been promoting public debate on foreign policy in Germany since 1955.

A Platform for Dialogue
With more than 250 conferences, panel discussions, and lecture series a year the DGAP is the central platform for the debate on foreign and security politics in Germany.

Policy-Oriented Research
The DGAP undertakes policy-oriented research focusing on Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, the EU, China, the Middle East, and North Africa, as well as the USA. The DGAP’s research institute views itself as a modern think tank, as a consultant and a driver of foreign policy.

Profound Information
The DGAP publishes Germany’s leading foreign policy magazine, IP – INTERNATIONALE POLITIK. The IP appears in Germany as a bimonthly print magazine and is available both through an annual subscription as well as via specialized retailers. (www.internationalepolitik.de)
